The Family Fixation is a blog about families that don’t work how they are supposed to, whether because of drug addiction, mental illness, abuse or abandonment. I grew up in a home with violence and drugs, so I will share my insights and experiences, hopefully to help other people in the same situation find ways to get help and get out.

This site is also about ending the drug war, as a harmful and irresponsible attempt at controlling people. The drug war prevents us from helping families that struggle with drug addiction, and makes many situations worse. I didn’t understand this as a kid, but I do now , and I will do my best to help others understand it as well.
